Will the Widget Slow Down My Website?

How our widgets are optimised for performance, page speed, and Core Web Vitals.

Lightweight and Asynchronous

The Social Media Feeds embed code is a lightweight script that loads asynchronously. This means it doesn't block your page from rendering — your website's main content loads first, and the widget loads in the background.

The script itself is small (a few kilobytes) and the widget content is served from fast CDN infrastructure to minimise latency.

Core Web Vitals

We've designed the widget to have minimal impact on your Core Web Vitals scores. Because the script loads asynchronously, it doesn't affect Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) or First Input Delay (FID). The widget uses a fixed height container to avoid Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS).

If page speed is critical for your business (and it should be), our widget is built to play nicely with Google's performance standards.

Image Optimisation

For platforms like Instagram and YouTube where images are a key part of the content, we serve optimised images at appropriate sizes. Images are lazy-loaded so they only download when the widget scrolls into view.

This approach keeps initial page load times fast while still providing high-quality visual content once the visitor scrolls to the widget.
