Finding Your Business
When creating a Google Reviews widget, you'll be asked to search for your business. Type your business name and select it from the results. Alternatively, you can paste your Google Maps URL directly.
Make sure you're selecting the correct location if your business has multiple branches — each location has its own set of reviews.
Star Rating Filter
One of the most useful features for Google Reviews is the star rating filter. You can set a minimum threshold (e.g., 4 stars or 5 stars) so only your best reviews are displayed on your website.
This is particularly effective on high-conversion pages like your homepage, pricing page, or contact page where you want to put your best foot forward.
Choosing a Layout
Google Reviews work well in all available layouts. Carousel is popular for showing a rotating selection of reviews. Card layout works well for dedicated testimonial pages. List view is compact and fits well in sidebars.
Each review displays the reviewer's name, star rating, review text, and the date it was posted — giving visitors confidence that these are authentic, verified reviews.
Keeping Reviews Fresh
Your Google Reviews widget updates automatically based on your plan tier. New reviews from customers will appear on your website without any manual work. The Free and Pro plans refresh daily, while Business and Agency refresh twice daily.
